Building Permits

Question:  "Gee, I'm doing such a small project... do I really need a building permit?"

Answer:  "YES!  Even if you think you don't need a building permit for your project... you probably do!  ASK FIRST!"

Building permits are required for any structural changes or repairs to buildings.  Check with Building Inspector before starting ANY project to avoid penalties.

Office Hours:  The Building Inspector has office hours in the Village Hall (177 E. Main St., Campbellsport) on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 – 9:00 A.M. or can be contacted by calling the village office (533-8321) during her office hours.

Inspections must be called into the main office at 1-800-422-5220.

When planning any construction project, it's important to allow sufficient time for all permit requests to be reviewed.  Review by the Village Plan Commission and the Village Board may be required for some projects.  Avoid delays by contacting the Building Inspector or the Village early in the planning stages for any construction project.
